A change from the common Ensete Maurelii this is a large green version with some red in the ribs.

A very large seed form of the Abyssinian banana, with seeds up to 4 times larger than the "standard" ventricosum. This is a Vigorous, fast growing banana from Ethiopia with huge green leaves showing red midrib.

• Temperature Tolerance: Ensete ventricosum is not frost-tolerant and can be damaged by temperatures below 0°C (32°F). It is best grown in climates where temperatures do not drop below freezing.
• European Hardiness Zones: It is suitable for European hardiness zones H1-H2, which roughly correspond to USDA zones 10-11.
• Climate: Thrives in warm, humid climates. In cooler regions, it is often grown as an annual or moved indoors during the winter.
• Sunlight: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
• Soil: Grows best in rich, well-draining soil with consistent moisture.
• Watering: Requires regular watering, especially during the growing season, but avoid waterlogging.
• Maintenance: In regions with mild winters, it can be grown outdoors with some protection. In colder climates, it should be potted and brought indoors or stored as a dormant plant in a cool, dry place.
